STEM-Based Academic Excellence

Striving for academic excellence, St. Sebastian STEM Academy is committed to enriching the lives of each student. Teachers and staff challenge students to problem-solve, work in groups, and stretch their imaginations. We hold all staff accountable to infuse their faith throughout the day and help students create an environment that genuinely cares for others and for God's creation.

In addition to a core curriculum, St. Sebastian STEM Academy will implement Project Lead The Way (PTLW) Launch for students in grades 4K through 2nd grade, expanding as the school grows. Currently, Siena Catholic Schools of Racine have PLTW in 8th grade and at the high school level. PLTW is the leading provider of rigorous and innovative STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education curricular programs used in schools. The hands-on, project-based program engages students in inquiry on multiple levels, exposes them to areas of study that they typically do not pursue, and provides them with a foundation and proven path to college and career readiness. The following are many of the courses offered:

The 8-12 minute daily lessons are the perfect combination of focus and fun that will have your students begging for more “Heggerty time!”

In addition, the program provides the flexibility needed to customize your school faith formation program.
